Quote of the Day

False ideas are the greatest obstacles to the reception of the gospel. We may preach with all the fervour of a reformer and yet succeed only in winning a straggler here and there, if we permit the whole collective thought of the nation or of the world to be controlled by ideas which, by the resistless force of logic, prevent Christianity from being regarded as anything more than a harmless delusion. ~ J. Gresham Machen

It seems that all things regarding truth come back to Romans 1.

    Thanks for this Tempe.

Indeed, Benjamin. As long as we have folks suppressing the truth about God in unrighteousness, Machen’s words will be shown accurate.

The sad thing, though, is that it’s one thing to see this taking place in the life of someone like Richard Dawkins (that’s to be expected, I suppose); it’s another to see it taking shape in liberal pulpits.
