And Now for Something Completely Different…

I saw this internet ad and just had to post it. It seems that it is now possible, for about 30 pounds, one can purchase a Scottish title (reminds me a scene from “Braveheart” and a bad Monty Python line). From the ad:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be among the titled few? For just £29.99 you can buy a souvenir plot of land on an estate in the Scottish highlands. As a Scottish land owner you will be privileged with the title of Laird, Lord, or Lady, and fishing rights for a section of the river Spean.
Sounds like a deal to me! What is that, like $50? If interested, go here. Maybe I’ll buy one for me and one for the missus (Lady?). And I’m not even Scottish!!!

Ah, but your wee lassie of a wife is! Might make a good Christmas present…
My thoughts, exactly, Anna! Tim, get on it!
We miss you both!
Thanks, for the comment, Holly. We miss you guys too! Hope Charlotte is having a good year at Fideles.
Actually, we’re thinking about the possibility of a Christmas gift for Anna’s mom (Clan Cameron!). It would still remain in the family, since it can be passed down via will. And it’s more like $60, which is an atrocious value for 1 sq. ft. of land, but a very nice price for a cool gift!
Of course, if I buy one for myself, I can start calling myself the Rev. Lord or the Lord Rev. or something like that (though, I don’t think Scottish ministers were generally landowners, don’t know, though).
