Good Listening

I just returned from a called presbytery meeting in Memphis, Tennessee (I was essentially the “purpose” of the meeting, accepting a call to a church in that presbytery). I did a lot of driving in the last 48 hours (probably 16 hours or so), so that gave me a lot of time to listen to CDs. One of the things I like to do for long trips (and everything in the Atlanta area is a LONG trip!) is download mp3s and burn CDs to listen to. This can sometimes be hit and miss, but it does provide a fairly profitable way to pass the time on a long drive.
Below are the links for two programs I listened to while drive to Memphis and back. The first is a lecture given by N.T. Wright on the historicity of the resurrection of Christ. The second is a two-hour radio program from L.A. It deals with apologetics (the defense of the faith) issues, primarily the many insufficiencies in a materialistic worldview in explaining reality. If you listen to the first 10 minutes or so (and the first hour is better than the second), there is a great illustration about the foolishness of many of the objections to the existence of God presented by this and similar worldviews. Enjoy!
