A couple of weeks ago I placed a picture of myself and one of the giants of the Reformed faith, Dr. Jay Adams, on this blog. Below, I have posted a pic of me alongside another famous Reformed author and theologian, Dr. James White. This picture was taken last November while my wife and I took Alpha and Omega Ministries‘ western Caribbean cruise.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
The somewhat sour look on Dr. White’s face might be because I joked with him a bit about the subject of baptism (Dr. White is a Reformed Baptist, while I am Presbyterian), a comment that he seem to take a bit too seriously (I had once joked with him, in a chat channel, that I would debate him on the subject of mode of baptism on a cruise: if I won, I would get to cruise for free, and if I lost I would agree to be thrown overboard and have to swim for shore; he then began talking about a recent debate he had over the subject of infant baptism — I was kidding!!!). Of course, it was near the end of a 7 day cruise and he could have just been exhausted…

One of the true “treats” of the cruise, though, was seeing Dr. White in a traditional Scottish kilt. Ah, if he’d only remained truly Scottish… ;) Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Ahhh, come to think of it, that’s the same expression in both photos. That’s just his normal photo smile. Nevermind!
